For a fourth year in a row, paramedics from Austin, TX will be participating in the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride. We ride in honor of Eric C. Hanson, a paramedic for Marble Falls EMS, who died in the line of duty in 2006 and his partner, Kyla Wilson, that was seriously injured in that same accident. We also ride for Stephanie Waters, a paramedic for PHI aeromedical service, who died with her flight crew and patient during a transport in 2008.
The National EMS Memorial Bike Ride is a multi-day bicycle ride that memorialize and celebrate the lives of those who serve everyday, those who have become sick or injured while performing their duties, and those who have died in the line of duty.
Yay Team Texas! So glad to hear you are going back for more this year and continuing to honor Eric and Stephanie. My heart is with all of you.
